As an age-related disease, the risk of developing AD increases with age. Unfortunately, the current prescription medications for AD offer only minimal effectiveness. Even for those few who do benefit, the positive effects are often fleeting. The latest potential AD medication, Donanemab, has shown promise in slowing disease progression more effectively than a placebo. However, its phase 3 trial revealed concerning side effects, including brain swelling and death—three of the four patient deaths were concluded to be drug-related. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
