[Sudden Onset of COPD After Hiking]( Posted by daniel (oregon) on 05/08/2022 I am 61yrs old, and have been pretty healthy all my life. I am a smoker of 40 yrs although not a real heavy smoker. I live in the foothills and go hiking daily with my dog. We hike 2-4 miles in the mountains every day. In January we were up on a snowy mountain and Bullet my dog decides to chase an animal. Long story short, by the time I find him it is almost dark and I don't have a flashlight. the truck was at least a mile from us so I was hustling to beat the dark huffing and puffing through a wide open mouth. I am in great shape but it was about 38 degrees and foggy. Before we got to the truck, I start just hacking and coughing so hard I almost threw up. I made it home only to go through 18 days of the worst misery I have ever felt... I can't use my hands because they are also inflamed and I can't bend one of my elbows, it is so stiff with inflammation... If I did not have a loving supportive hubby and family, would not want to exist anymore. I feel betrayed by the healthcare system. I am a nurse… I can't believe this is happening.. For the past 4 years, I have gradually become weaker and weaker, so much that I cannot do any kind of work. veins are showing on the back of my hand. I am 5.11 inches tall and my weight has come down to 55 kg. Also if I eat any food that's heavy to digest it blocks my nose. got lab tests done many times in these 4 years but nothing shows up wrong. all blood tests, stool tests, sonography xrays come out normal. It took 2 years before I could really narrow it down that it is a stomach problem. but I still don't know why my digestion has gone so ultra weak. please help [( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) of Tongue]( Posted by Annie (GA) on 05/02/2022 Has anyone had successful alternative treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue?
