[View this email in your browser]( by Mary Post | Contributing Writer When I was 10, I was blind for two weeks. Well, not technically blind, but I couldn’t see. After an eye operation, both eyes were covered for 14 long days. Fortunately, I had family willing to sit and read “girl” books to me! That experience left me with profound respect and admiration for people who are actually blind and live amazing lives. I also became passionate about protecting one’s vision, especially when I developed cataracts and was forced to stop driving for an extended period. Cataracts and the subsequent surgery, a miracle unknown to all of the generations of the past, taught me another lesson about the importance of doing all you can to safeguard your vision: Don’t take your vision and healthy eyes for granted. So my dad ran out and bought one and BOOM cataracts were GONE! This is 8 years later and he is now age 80 and they are kind of coming back, so he may do it again soon. AMAZING. SO COOL. Source: [( --------------------------------------------------------------- Castor Oil Drops and NAC Supplements for Cataracts Posted by Wdickson (Washington DC, U.S.A.) on 09/02/2012 [5 out of 5 stars] A month ago, at the end of July, I had my eyes examined at the Medical Center as preparation for renewal of my driver's license, which was to expire in August 2012 on my 81st birthday. I told them at that time that I felt that I was able to see better without my glasses than with them except for reading fine print in dim light, or for driving at night with the glare of oncoming headlights. The results of that examination were unnerving. My vision was certified at 20/30 left eye, 20/40 right eye, which of course was satisfactory for purposes of the DMV, but the doctor also told me I had cataracts in both eyes and after more definitive eye examination, they may want to discuss cataract surgery with me along with an updated prescription for new bifocals. So on August 31st I went in for the "more definitive" eye examination. The result of these tests was 20/20 vision in both eyes and no evidence of cataracts! The doctors asked me what I had been doing differently. I told them I had been taking a new supplement called NAC 600, primarily for my heart condition, but more recently I had been experimenting with 2 drops of pharmaceutical grade Castor Oil in each eye at bedtime each night for the month of August. Their jaws dropped. The doctors were incredulous. They said they had never, ever heard of using castor oil for the eyes before. They said cataracts are not reversible except by surgical procedure... I also had been diagnosed with periodontal disease that had all but loosened all of my teeth to the point of being able to move them with my tongue. While browsing Earth clinic, I came across a post that someone had mentioned Oil pulling in. After further investigation, I went to my local grocer and found "cold pressed " sunflower oil. I started every morning on an empty stomach, swishing the oil through and around my teeth and gums for 20 minutes. After a couple of weeks, my teeth felt like someone had put a string around them and tugged on it. I could no longer move them. They were so solid in my mouth and there were no more stains. I was wearing bi-focal glasses to read because my eyes had gotten so bad. I couldn't read my bible or anything else without them. After only a few months, I had forgotten my glasses and discovered that they were no longer needed. I have continued to oil pull for the last 6 years and have nothing but positive results. Please do yourself a favor and try it. A friend of mine who had psoriasis since she was an infant tried it and it went away until she stopped and it came back again. Thank you for all of your posts. [( --------------------------------------------------------------- Carrots for Blurry Vision Posted by Caitlin (Austin, Texas) on 02/21/2014 [5 out of 5 stars] I get tired of carrots, but they work! My mother (late 80's with near perfect far vision and only using reading glasses), upon hearing that my vision was off said that the 'old folks' she grew up with recommended eating a carrot every day and your vision would improve. Well, every day for the past 2 weeks, I've grated just 1/4 of a carrot into my smoothie mixture. End result: my vision has definitely improved to such an extent that I'm reading 1 size smaller letters than before and this, without my reading glasses. And, my vision is not so blurry. Natural remedies such as eye exercises and carrots may take time, but they CAN, over time, work to fix what ails us! Astounding advice from my mother!
