In September 2021, Elon Musk surpassed Jeff Bezos to become the world’s richest man. And in an amusing yet somewhat dickish move… Elon tweeted a “silver medal” emoji at Bezos — mocking as he bumped him into second place. But even though this petty billionaire drama might offer a chuckle or two… What’s much more interesting to me is… Exactly how did Elon become the real life “Tony Stark”? After all… His current net worth of $188 Billion is a MIND-BOGGLING jump from the $22 million he made off his first business, Zip2. Or even the $180 million he was paid when eBay bought PayPal in 2002. Now, obviously $202 million is more than most people see in a lifetime… And it’s clear Elon is no ordinary dude... But to put into perspective the difference between his wealth today vs where he was just two decades ago… Consider this: 202 million one-dollar bills, laid flat, would cover about 4% of Manhattan… Whereas 188 Billion one-dollar bills (the size of Elon’s current fortune) would be enough to lay a “money carpet” across all of New York City more than two times over. Question is, how did he accumulate so much cash?
