We all want to make more money and have more free time to enjoy life with family & friends. Yet youâve probably been told that you âcanât have it allâ... That you must âsacrificeâ if you want to be successful. Because âYou canât have your cake and eat it too.â *eyeroll* Well I say thatâs BS and hereâs why: When you install these 5 pillars for perfect work-life balance in your daily & weekly routines, you can not only separate your work and personal life⦠You can be 10X more focused, productive, and successful with the time you put into both. 1. Start with your vision Where do you want to be in three years from now? What matters most for your life and goals will define what work-life balance actually means for you. When you know what really matters for your family, your health, your wealth, and for your personal fulfillment and big goals in life â then you can start working towards that plan. But if you don't know where you want to get toâ¦Â Then any old direction will do. Before I got clear on my vision I was chasing a million things. I was completely scatteredâ¦Â Working all the time⦠partying nonstop... And endlessly chasing âshiny objects.â I was trying to live somebody else's life because I hadnât gotten clear on a vision for my own. Which is why I ended up with anxiety attacks. That internal misalignment between my values and actions gave me so much anxiety it put me in the emergency room twice, thinking I was having a heart attack. All because I lacked vision. But once I figured that out, I set out on a journey to help every entrepreneur never go through what I went through. So you must craft that vision of exactly what you want your life to look like three years from today. Creating a crystal clear vision helped me find the love of my lifeâ¦Â Build the business of my dreamsâ¦Â And write three best-selling books. And no matter what your goals are, getting clear on your vision will help you too. 2. Create Boundaries You need to have boundaries and âcut-offsâ in your life. This means a cut-off time for finishing work⦠But it also means a cut-off for things like your workouts or your personal development time. Most people have start times for meetings or for yoga, reading, or meditation â but they never have an end point. And because they don't have an end point each activity bleeds into the next. Which quickly turns their days into chaos, sucks up all their time, and at the end of the day they canât understand how they were so busy but accomplished nothing important. Thatâs why boundaries and cutoffs are so crucial. They keep you focused on what counts. 3. Use A âNot-To-Doâ List A not-to-do list is where you say ânoâ to things ahead of time⦠By deciding what things you wonât do. Maybe that means you will NOT go on social media during work hours⦠Or that you will NOT check email before 10 am. It may even mean hiring someone to prepare your meals or clean for you â because youâve decided NOT to spend your time doing those things. By saying no to things, you can say yes to great things. As I always say, "If you want to do great things, you have to do fewer things." Yes, I believe you can have it all in terms of the things that matter most to you. But thatâs very different from trying to do everything. So instead of trying to do a million things⦠reading a book a week⦠doing all these challenges that take three hours a day⦠starting a side hustle⦠Just stop. And make a not-to-do list to help you stay super focused and never waste your time. 4. Make a 90-day plan (every 90-days) Once youâve got your 3-year vision laid out you need to determine the first checkpoint on that path. Just ask yourselfâ¦Â "If I want to be here in three years, what do I need to do in the next 90 days?" And then you break that downâ¦Â "What do I need to do in the next 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, two weeks, three weeks, 30 days, etc. to accomplish that 90-day goal â which in turn takes me one quantum leap closer to achieving my three-year vision?" Iâve covered this in other emails and [in full depth with this video.]( 5. Get Accountable to a Mentor or Coach The missing puzzle piece that so many people ignore⦠â¦is connecting with the right person who's been there and done that and achieved what you want to achieve. Someone who can hold you accountable throughout your journey⦠And help you get back on track when you go off the rails. When you have that accountability of reporting to somebody that you're doing the right things and taking the necessary actions to winâ¦Â THATâS when you're going to stay on the perfect work-life balance path to success. Itâll allow you to stop wasting so much time⦠And spend more of it on what counts. === So make an effort to follow and stick to these 5 pillars for work-life balance. Honestly, if this is an important topic for you⦠Iâd write these down and put them on your wall. When you commit to implementing these principles, youâll be blown away by how much your work and personal life both improve.
