Happy Friday! It’s time for installment number four of my “Millionaire Productivity Secret

Happy Friday! It’s time for installment number four of my “Millionaire Productivity Secrets for more wealth and success in 2023” series. Millionaire productivity secret number four is: White space I'm learning this more and more as I get mentored by deca-millionaires and hundred millionaires. I don't have any billionaires as personal mentors YET… But by seeing what people do who are more successful than me — I notice they all have more white space on their calendar and white space in their brain. Here's a great quote from Naval Ravikant: "It's actually really important to have empty space. If you don't have a day or two every week in your calendar when you're not in meetings when you're not always busy then you're not going to be able to think" This couldn’t be more true. What most people do is they have too many inputs in their life from television, Netflix, podcasts, music, and so on. You just never have silence that way. I make a point of never having any inputs when I walk my dog, for example. And I go for lots of other walks. I don't listen to anything when I work out… no inputs. Because that's when my brain is synthesizing all of the information that's come in. It's putting it together, it's connecting the dots. As Steve Jobs said, “Looking backwards is where you're going to find the big breakthroughs.” You're just not going to be able to have good ideas for your business if you don't give yourself white space. Or at least not enough of them. So give yourself a chance to think, and reflect. Unplug from all the inputs for a little while. When you allow yourself to stop consuming information… You can then process some of it, put everything together, and start solving problems. It’s easy to underestimate how powerful this productivity secret is — but I can assure you that would be a mistake. Take some time this weekend to give yourself some whitespace. Even better, after you enjoy that whitespace, spend 30-40 minutes planning how to create more of it in your schedule. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
