Last Saturday I was up at 3:03am to finish my weekly newsletter to clients.  We were celebrating Isabella’s first Halloween that weekend… and planned LOTS of activities... Maybe she wasn’t excited... but Michelle and I were! ;)  The week before Halloween was unusually busy for me.  I spent three hours on Thursday editing a video sales letter script…  And Friday was about as busy of a day that I’ve had since we moved to Mexico (minus our incredible Mastermind meeting days).  Friday’s Schedule  4am – Woke up and started writing newsletter  5:30am – Baby Isabella was up early so I joined her and Michelle for a hangout  7am – Family dog walk with Crazy Daisy the Dog over to Daisy’s swimming hole to burn off her crazy  8am – Weekly Marketplace Intelligence Meeting With Our Sales, Coaching, & Marketing Team  We had an excellent hour-long discussion on some killer marketing questions we’re answering in my business.  9am – Podcast with Charlie Johnson from Dubai… one of the best CEO-level interviews I’ve done — coming soon, keep an eye out for this one!  10am – Leg Workout  11am – Self-defense training… Michelle and I started taking classes 3x’s per week together… we train with a former police officer from Belgium who is a 4th degree BJJ instructor and tactical weapons instructor… we train to defend against knife attacks, etc. … Michelle is deadly with her kicks!  This is part of how we’re keeping our family safe & healthy.  Another way we’re doing that… is going to bed at 8pm. No joke… this is how we’ve avoided Covid and how we stayed safe living in Miami!  12pm – Meeting about Mexican health insurance  2pm – Two hours filming a new VSL… four versions for testing…  Crazy busy day.  Yet I was able to stay focused and on-schedule all day long… While accomplishing major priorities for my business, my health, and my family. But that would’ve been impossible without planning each activity the day before… Giving it an appropriate time block in my day… And leaving sufficient “buffer time” between each item on my schedule (because, as you know, nothing ever goes exactly to plan). Simple. But most people don’t do any of it. The closest they come is a frantic to-do list, scribbled on a notepad or punched into their phone as they sit down at their desk to start work for the day. Unfortunately, it’s already too late by then. Lack of preparation is probably why you can't stay on track (it’s ok, I’ve been there). So if you’ve got a lot on your plate… Take 15-20 minutes the night before to plan and prioritize your day. Set up your time blocks (30, 60, 90 minutes etc.) for your various work and personal activities. And leave some time in between for task switching, overflow, travel time, chit-chat, coffee breaks, and so on. Let me know how it goes!
