All my ‘mental problems’ (anxiety, guilt, disappointment, feeling overwhelmed, etc.) stem from when I am not doing enough with the gifts I have been given. Maybe you’ve noticed this with yourself too. I suspect it’s the same for most people, whether they realize it or not. - When we don’t put a Level 10 effort into our Level 10 problems, our brain knows it - When we don’t keep the promises we make to ourselves, our heart knows it - When we don’t do our best, our soul knows it We might be able to hide this from others. But we can’t hide from ourselves. This disappointment manifests itself in all sorts of things… anxiety, fear, even physical illnesses. The path to healing yourself is to reverse every scenario above that is contributing to the problem. That means: Put a level 10 effort into your level 10 problem. Keep every promise you make to yourself… From getting up as soon as your alarm goes off (rather than hitting snooze)... To following through on every workout… To showing up early for every appointment. When you match your problems with the appropriate effort, you'll make progress, and feel better. When we don't do that... we lose momentum and self-doubt creeps in. If you're working on your Level 10 problem and measuring your progress — you’ll see wins every day. That’ll make you feel better, and you'll turn yourself around. The source of the fix is internal. Because nothing external will fix your internal problems. Tony Robbins seminars and Ed Mylett podcasts might superficially coat you with courage… Might give you valuable ideas to consider… And might even suggest action steps to take. But until you do the work and keep the promises you make… No long-term changes will take place. What will fix your mindset and banish bad feelings from your life is doing the right work at the right time. The more work you do on the right things, the more progress you make. The more progress you make, the better you feel. The end.   Action beats anxiety. Podcasts don’t.
