[Investment House Wrap Up] [IH Daily]( [Technical Traders Alert]( [Rapid Profits Stock Trader]( [About Jon]( In This Issue: - Market Summary - Targets Hit - Covered Call Options Play Weekend Wrap Up for 09/15/2024 by Jon Johnson Editor, [Investment House Daily]( [Technical Traders Alert]( & [Rapid Profits Stock Trader]( [1pxtrans]( Sponsored Content [How to Profit From "America's Earnings" Reports]( When the Government Releases Certain Data, Either Good or Bad... You Can Target Up to +383% Overnight (See the Proof!) [New Trade Goes LIVE THIS TUESDAY at 2 pm]( 1. Market Summary [Jon Johnson] - Slow start, rally continues - Producer Purchasing Index (PPI) hotter, but as with Consumer Price Index (CPI), the market overcomes the data - Rate cut odds increase even as stocks rally, prices top expectations - Four sessions higher, expecting more before some Friday profit taking As anticipated, after the large Wednesday surge, particularly the last short squeeze, the stock indices traded softer early on. Not that futures were trading lower pre-PPI -- they were sporting gains but started peeling when the number came in hotter overall and on the Core. Futures bombed at the open, selling for the first half hour. Then the anticipated rebound came – just took a bit longer to get the shakeout drop. Once that was in place, a very nice surge ensued followed by a midday test. From 12:00ET, it was nothing but net to the upside through 2:30ET. Then it was a lot of back and forth range-trading in a narrow range to close the session. PHLX Semiconductor (SOX) was lower, unable to get off the mark, but the other indices posted nice gains, and this time it was more across the board buying as the small caps actually led, edging out the Nasdaq indices. Targets Hit Technical Traders Alert: The recovery from the prior week’s sharp decline provided some interesting bedfellows to play. Precious metals stocks rallied with gold surging to a new all-time high. Techs recovered as well and retail remained strong. We were able to bank some more gain even with a presidential debate, CPI and PPI. Of course, the FOMC rate decision is next week and that is a huge influence ahead. With that coming, we banked some more gain when we had the opportunity.
