Market Summary [Jon Johnson] - Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) blows higher, market follows but cannot hold the move - Decliners sharply outpace on a reversal - Index action returns to the February to April action - DJ20 continues its dive, as DJ30 gets no new high confirmation - New home sales sink but no worries because S&P Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) jump - Despite the selling of everything but NVDA, the artificial intelligence (AI) and power plays will be back and presenting some good entries after this test - Three-day weekend may postpone any rebound to next week My last thought in the PreMarket alert, as NVDA was set to gap higher 60 points was whether the NVDA earnings were the final bullet in the magazine of this leg higher. Targets Hit Technical Trader: While it seemed the entire week’s focus was on the NVDA earnings, other stocks did make moves. Not that we did not play NVDA and make good money, there were just other stocks moving as well. That led us to, once again, bank gains in various sectors, because we are playing various sectors as, until very recently, more sectors were showing some good growth. Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ: COST): A steady move higher with the break upside off the 50-day moving averages (MAs) from earlier in May is yielding results as we banked part of a 94% gain in the options. NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA): Had to play this stock with its history of beating big on earnings. The stock gapped higher, we sold half our position for a 75+% gain. Dominion Energy Inc. (NYSE: D): After a good run, D started showing some near term wear so we sold the remaining part of the position for a 35% gain as it came back to test.
