What scares you?

Or, more accurately, speaking in front of people in a formal setting. I've always preferred working in the background, which was probably why I've taken keenly to writing. Didn't take me long to realise that I would have to get over the stage fright if I want to make any form of impact. Took a lot longer to do something about it. So when opportunities for public speaking present themselves, I took them. And now, I'm still uncomfortable and there's still a lot of nerves but I can legitimately say that I'm no longer scared of public speaking. As with most things, it comes with practice. And probably age.
