So, to ease into the week, let me tell you about one thing I swear by, second only to ice cream: the [Eisenhower Decision Matrix](. Before I turned to writing, I worked at a consulting firm where organising and managing trainings (content to execution to reporting) of about 100 trainees from 3 different clients happening simultaneously in 8 different cities is a weekly norm. Every Sunday evening, I took a few minutes to look at what I need to do the coming week - whether personal or professional - and decide where they are in the matrix. Basically, I draw a matrix and note down the tasks into their corresponding quadrant. It helped me avoid being overwhelmed by giving me a visual illustration of the things I need to prioritise. That was around 8 years ago. I'd like to think that I've developed better work habits and prioritisation skills now, so most of the time simple checklists work. But it's still my go-to method whenever I feel I need to recalibrate priorities and manage tasks. What's yours?
