Friend -- My name is Martin Sheen, though you may remember me as President Bartlet from The West Win

Friend -- My name is Martin Sheen, though you may remember me as President Bartlet from The West Wing. I’m reaching out because Election Day is fast approaching. Republican megadonors are spending millions to replace Democratic senators with their MAGA candidates. Control of the Senate and the future of democracy itself are on the line. Yes, it really is that serious. The GOP only needs to flip TWO seats to take control -- and polls show a lot more Democrats than that are locked in frighteningly close races against Republican candidates. We can’t let the GOP have its way in ANY of these key races. But we don't have many chances left to make a difference -- and with the DSCC's mid-month fundraising deadline coming up tomorrow, we need to act NOW. [So, I’m humbly asking: Will you pitch in $5 or whatever you can afford to support Democrats? A group of donors has even agreed to TRIPLE your gift, but only for a limited time:]( [DONATE $5 (BECOMES $15)]( On The West Wing, when our country faced impossibly difficult times, we tried to show America what our government could be if we all banded together for a common purpose. But this year’s Republican Senate candidates have no interest in any such vision. They have tried to grind President Biden’s agenda to a halt and even embraced Donald Trump’s dangerous election lies. There’s just no telling what lengths they’ll go to if they take back our Senate majority. That’s why the DSCC must reach tomorrow's fundraising goal, so we can elect Democrats with integrity -- something these MAGA Republican candidates know nothing about. Unfortunately, we're falling behind our goal to defend the Senate. There’s still hope though: Chuck Schumer just let me know that he’s unlocked $10,000 in matching funds to TRIPLE gifts made in response to this email -- as long as they come in before the mid-month deadline. [Please, will you contribute $5 (becomes $15 today) to defend our Democratic Senate majority against the farthest of far-right Republicans?]( If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately. The first $10,000 received from this email will be TRIPLED: [Donate $5 (Becomes $15)]( [Donate $10 (Becomes $30)]( [Donate $20 (Becomes $60)]( [Rush Another Amount]( My character in The West Wing famously said, “Decisions are made by those who show up.” I truly believe that, and if you do too, then [let's band together and defend the Senate.]( Thank you so much for all you do, Martin Sheen [Martin Sheen](    [Chip in $5 monthly to defend the Senate]( --------------------------------------------------------------- The DSCC is the only committee solely dedicated to supporting Democrats in the U.S. Senate, and our work relies on grassroots supporters like you.
