Dribbble is an international community, whose members not only represent an incredibly diverse range of creative talents, but also a multifaceted array of geographies, creeds, identities, and walks of life. With our own team stationed mostly across North America, it’s impossible to turn a blind eye to events occurring in cities in our own backyard. We take heart with individuals bravely making their voices heard; we join unequivocally with the notion of demanding dignity and equality for all citizens, neighbors, and families who have historically been denied parity of experience, opportunity, and life. Dribbble’s CEO, Zack Onisko, addressed our team yesterday: “I’ve been trying to draft a note to the team all morning and I’ve had a hard time finding the right words. The short of it is that systemic racism, police brutality and racial injustice needs to end. The hope is that the protests and unrest we’re seeing around the country and the world may bring enough attention to these topics to produce change. Topics like social justice and equality are not political issues—they are issues of basic human rights. Dribbble will be making a donation to the [Equal Justice Initiative](, a non-partisan, nonprofit group that focuses on criminal justice reform, education on the history of slavery, and racial justice. We will also be donating [100% of proceeds]( from our Dribbble Shop during the month of June to the organization, too.” [Black Lives Matter] As designers—but, more importantly, as people—we urge you to support communities in their pursuit of justice and equality. As a small additional gesture, over on the Dribbble blog we’re shining a [spotlight on artwork]( and design from our community inspired by recent events and Black Lives Matter advocacy. We can all do better, but don’t forget: as designers we have the unique skillset to assist in giving shape and form to voices of the under-served, disadvantaged, and unequal. We can help amplify that which must be heard. ■Sponsored Transform online education and get paid doing it Our mentor community is the biggest strength of our UI/UX course with a Net Promoter Score rated as world-class.
