Gannon --------------------------------------------------------------- [Fujifilm announces 40MP X-T5 APS-C mirrorless camera]( Fujifilm’s new X-T5 is Fujifilm’s latest retro-styled APS-C camera system that features the same 40MP sensor and autofocus system as the company’s higher-end X-H2 system, but in a more affordable, compact and stills-centric body. [Canon reveals its new EOS R6 II full-frame mirrorless camera]( The EOS R6 II resembles its predecessor in both looks and name, but both inside and out, it improves upon its predecessors. [OM Digital Solutions unveils the OM System OM-5]( The OM System OM-5 is a compact and rugged Micro Four Thirds camera clearly designed with outdoor enthusiast photographers in mind. It’s also the first camera to feature the ‘OM System’ branding on the front faceplate of the camera, a move OM Digital Solutions (OMDS) announced it would be working towards late last year. [Nikon launches $16K Nikkor Z 600mm F4 lens with built-in 1.4x teleconverter]( This super-telephoto lens from Nikon features a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, which effectively turns the lens inot an 840mm F5.6 lens without the need for any external components. The lens also weighs a full 550g (1.2lbs) less than its F-mount predecessor, which didn’t even have the built-in teleconverter. [Nikon Z9 gets ‘High-Res Zoom’ mode, AF updates and more in version 3.0 firmware update]( Nikon’s Z9 full-frame mirrorless camera gets a new ‘High-Res Zoom’ mode for a 2x digital zoom while keeping the same resolution. Also new is a ‘C60’ shooting option for high-speed stills capture, AF improvements and more. [DJI announces the DJI Mavic 3 Classic, an entry-level version of its Mavic 3 drone]( DJI’s new Mavic 3 Classic drops the telephoto camera module and a few more professional-grade video features found in its Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine counterparts, but still offers all of the best features at a much more reasonable price. News updates [Glacial expedition uncovers cache of cameras left behind 85 years ago]( Published Thursday, November 3, 2022 6:18:00 PM GMT An expedition team led by Griffin Post headed to Walsh Glacier in Yukon's Kluane National Park to search for an abandoned cache of gear left behind by famed explorer Bradford Washburn. The cache, comprising multiple cameras, was abandoned in 1937. [OM Digital Solutions is removing the Olympus name from its entire product portfolio]( Published Tuesday, November 1, 2022 1:15:00 PM GMT OM Digital Solutions, the company responsible for camera and optic products bearing the Olympus brand name, has announced it’s transitioning to using ‘OM System’ in the naming of all of its cameras, lenses, binoculars and accessories. [Nikon updates 3D LUT and software suite alongside Nikon Z9's recent firmware update]( Published Monday, October 31, 2022 4:58:00 PM GMT Last week, Nikon released firmware 3.0 for its flagship camera, the Z9. The firmware update added exciting new features for stills photography and video. Nikon also updated its 3D LUT and many of its software applications.
