{NAME}, Last week I sent you an e-mail about donating to Tom Suozzi, but this week has me even more

[Right Side of History]( {NAME}, Last week I sent you an e-mail about donating to Tom Suozzi, but this week has me even more motivated. If MAGA face planting on their impeachment attempt on Tuesday didn’t convince you how important electing Tom Suozzi next week is, I don’t know what will. We’ve seen firsthand what one vote means in the House: it’s the difference between political theater and actual government. The initial vote on Mayorkas was 215-215 with 3 R’s voting against. A Republican switched their vote, so make no mistake: this will be brought up again. This election has the potential to make all the difference in defeating this ill conceived and politically motivated impeachment. [Please re-read the e-mail about Tom below and consider donating as soon as possible>>]( --------------------------------------------------------------- In less than two weeks, we have a very important election. It’s an election that will determine if New York’s Third District will move past its MAGA mistake or if it will continue on the legacy of George Santos. The choice seems pretty clear, right? In 2022, the people elected a con man. George Santos lied about virtually every aspect of his life, and lied to every single American citizen. Now, we saw one side of the aisle condemn Santos and call for his expulsion. On the other side however, we saw Republicans fighting tooth and nail to retain the seat with Santos in it. They actually gave the guy committee assignments. What did we learn from Santos’ stint in Congress? That Republicans are scared. They will do whatever it takes to hold on to their single digit majority in the House. My opinion? Republicans need to learn their lesson. It’s time for NY-03 to elect a real leader. One who will stand up for their constituents, make the difficult choices, protect democracy at all costs, and most importantly, one who is actually qualified. [It’s time to elect Tom Suozzi.]( Tom’s a first generation American who grew up in Glen Cove, and still lives there today with his wife and three kids. You probably know Tom because he held this seat from 2016 to 2022. Before that, he was also mayor of Glen Cove for eight years. He knows this district. And he knows how to work hard for it. [That’s why I’d appreciate it today if you could pitch in with a split contribution to help put him back in office and help Right Side of History make an impact in races like this >>]( This is a special election, and that means we have to go all out. This is a rare opportunity for us to snag a seat from the Republicans out of cycle. I know something about special elections and the opportunities they provide. After all, it was a special election in 2017 that sent me to the Senate - the first Democrat from Alabama in 25 years. This is a big one, and we have a really good chance at winning. For the district that’s been robbed of an actual representative for the past year, for the state of New York, and for a slimmer Republican majority, please help elect Tom Suozzi to Congress.
