It breaks our hearts to think of all the unwanted dogs who receive nothing back for their loyalty, trust, and affection. Humpty & Dumpty's story Just like deaf pups Humpty and Dumpty. They arrived in our care at only 8-weeks whimpering with fear and suspicious of new people. It was as though they’d already given up on love. As the nursery rhyme goes, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty together again. But with your kindness and generosity, we can do everything possible to mend dogs like Humpty and Dumpty’s broken hearts! Will you help more unwanted dogs like Humpty and Dumpty feel love for the very first time, with a gift today? [Donate today]( Support our work It was clear these poor pups weren't shown the kindness they needed. We were desperate to show them all the love they had been missing. First, they needed medication for upset tummies and the necessary vaccinations to stop them from getting infectious diseases. To help socialise them with other dogs and people, we put them in a protective doggy pushchair and walked them around the centre. We loved seeing their faces peering out, taking in all the sights and smells, still uncertain but curious too. [Donate today]( Help us care We introduced Humpty and Dumpty to food-based enrichment puzzles and fun training games to encourage them to explore the world that they couldn’t hear. They had so much fun. We also began to teach Humpty and Dumpty to understand sign language. This brought them out of their shells. It's so upsetting to think that they could have been written off for being deaf when what they needed was care and kindness. Your gift could help unwanted dogs like Humpty and Dumpty receive 24/7 care from a whole team of Dogs Trust vets, behaviourists, and Canine Carers to mend their broken hearts and get them ready for forever homes. [Donate today]( The contrast between the unloved dogs who arrived at Dogs Trust and the energetic, cheeky, and happy dogs they are today is incredible. There are hundreds of dogs like them missing out on the love they deserve, but with your help, we can mend their hearts. Wishing you and any canine companions in your life all the love in the world. Thank you, [Donate today]( Here's how your gift could help mend broken hearts £5 Could pay for fun enrichment puzzles, which can encourage nervous dogs to explore and gain confidence. £10 Can give unwanted and neglected pooches all the welfare necessities they might have been missing such as soothing baths and fluffy warm bedding. £15 Helps provide essential medication and vaccinations for dogs in need.
