Their need for shelter for both themselves and their dogs has never been more urgent. We’re trying to meet this need by offering additional support to homelessness organisations, hotels and other emergency shelters during this difficult time. Dogs just like Lucy and her pups. Just before lockdown, Lucy arrived heavily pregnant and about to go into labour. Heartbreakingly one of her pups did not make it. But thankfully, now in our care and with expert staff to hand, Lucy went on to safely deliver four pups, who we have named Joy, Winnie, Ada and Dayo. Not quite out of the woods yet, two of the pups have a serious eye condition which requires ongoing medical treatment.
