An important message from Dogs Trust View an [online version](IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@11) of this email. [DogsTrust](6854411@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@) 6854412@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@ Dear {NAME}, Like so many others, we have been closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and we want to let you know how we at Dogs Trust are responding. The health and wellbeing of our staff and visitors is of huge importance to us and we are taking on board the Government advice, and limiting non-essential contact and travel. A message from all of us We know that this is a very worrying time, but we want to assure you that we will continue to keep doing what we do best – caring for the UK’s stray and abandoned dogs and supporting dog owners. We will continue to take the lead from the Government on how we can do this safely. We are doing everything we can behind the scenes to ensure that the dogs in our care continue to receive the very best TLC, and all the things they need to remain happy and healthy, so that, as soon as we are able, we can find them their forever homes. Below are some of the steps we’re taking. Rehoming a dog As of 5pm on Friday 20th March, we are closing our UK rehoming centres to walk-in visitors, and we will be operating an appointment only system starting on Saturday 21st March. For the time being we are asking anyone who is looking to rehome a dog, to call us to book an appointment. If you are due to be taking a dog home this weekend, let us reassure you that this will still go ahead. We will call you to discuss arrangements, but please bear with us if this takes a little longer than usual. Please [see our website for details on this new process.](6854413@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@) Dog School classes Our Dog School classes are currently suspended. However, our online community is here to support you. We are constantly updating our website and social media platforms with advice from our experts on how anyone who is self-isolating can continue to look after their dogs. [Our latest advice](6854414@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@) If you have booked a class and have any questions about what will happen next, please contact [your local Dog School](6854415@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@) who will be able to give you more advice. Dogs Trust events For the time-being, Fun Days and events are postponed. We will update you as soon as we are able on how and when we plan to reschedule. Charity Shops As of close of business on Friday 20th March, all of our charity shops will be closed until further notice. We have had lots of questions regarding donations of pre-loved items, which as a charity, are crucial. At the moment, we are asking people not to leave any pre-loved goods at our rehoming centres or charity shops. We will keep our website and social media platforms updated to let you know when we can start receiving donations again. Contacting us Staff from our London office and some of our call centres are now working remotely. This has impacted our ability to answer as many telephone calls as usual, and also means that we are unable to process and reply to postal correspondence and donations for the foreseeable future. For the time being, please don’t send anything to our office address. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We want to continue to talk to our supporters and help you during this difficult time. So for the time being, we would be extremely grateful if you could email all queries to [supporterservices@dogstrust.org.uk.](mailto:supporterservices@dogstrust.org.uk) Please note this email address is to help anyone with queries about donations, changing your personal details or contact preferences, insurance, legacies, the Canine Care Card, catalogue orders or general fundraising activities and events. We expect a high volume of enquiries and we will endeavour to reply as soon as we can, so please bear with us. Keeping in touch with us Don’t forget, our online community is here to support you. We will keep [our website](6854416@IMCmKqjNNlGCTZQX9LRlKV7M-SB24CwzDnWEh3mNse0.@) and social media platforms up to date with our latest advice and tips, helping you to keep your dog entertained.
