Hi {NAME} Not many people know about our origin story and I’m not even sure if you’re will

Hi {NAME} Not many people know about our origin story and I’m not even sure if you’re willing to sit and read through it, it'll only take 1 minute Four years ago I knew nothing about lashes. I was in a relationship at the time with a girl who wore lashes almost every day, and we’d frequent music festivals where it seems like every direction you look you’d find someone wearing false lashes. There wasn’t a huge fire-burning problem with false lashes. They weren’t perfect but it wasn’t like there weren’t any false lashes at all. Everyone sort of just put up with whatever they could find. I got curious and started asking my girlfriend at the time about her lashes, and then I asked her friends and people around me about their lashes. There seems to be a pattern with everyone’s feedback: their lashes were uncomfortable, irritating, don’t fit their eyes properly, and just looks fake. All of these weren’t big enough of a problem for companies to innovate, it wasn’t like the world needed toothpaste when toothpaste didn’t exist. Lashes existed, but they just all sucked. It was either you spend $200 on lash extensions or get a pair for $1 and have it fall off mid-day, nothing really in between. I saw lashes on the market as high heels — you wear them out because they’re pretty but you can’t wait to take them off when you get home. I thought, what if in a world of high wheels, we make a pair of sneakers? A pair of lashes that you can wear all day in any occasion, with any type of makeup (or no makeup). And so doe was born, and we’re so happy to still be here. It’s not easy being a startup in beauty. We never raised money from investors and have to compete for attention with every celebrity and their managers that want to start a beauty brand. But we’re here because of you. Whether you have bought from us before or just subscribed to our email, all of these things push us to keep going. Thank you for reading and we hope to keep making lashes for you.
