With strong Democratic leadership in our statehouses, we can – and will – pass legislation

With strong Democratic leadership in our statehouses, we can – and will – pass legislation that safeguards our democracy, protects abortion access, and defends our fundamental freedoms.  #  This week’s Republican convention cemented what we already knew: the future of our democracy, abortion rights, and more are on the line this November, and building Democratic power in our state legislatures is the best way to block a MAGA takeover. With strong Democratic leadership in our statehouses, we can – and will – pass legislation that safeguards our democracy, protects abortion access, and defends our fundamental freedoms. We’ve done exactly that with our legislative majorities in states like Michigan and Minnesota, but we need your support to continue this work nationwide. Our party is struggling to compete against an influx of Republican donations from billionaires like Elon Musk. Last quarter, MAGA Republicans boasted a fundraising haul of over $300 million, while we missed our goals in April and May. We can only overcome the GOP cash advantage if Democrats in your community and beyond invest in our movement. I won’t beg, and I won’t plead; I’ll just ask – because I know you understand the stakes of this year’s elections: [Will you make your first $7 donation of the cycle to flip seats red to blue and protect our majorities this November and beyond?]( If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. [$7 »]( [$25 »]( [$50 »]( [$100 »]( [$250 »]( [Other »]( Here’s the truth: We don’t have Republicans’ bottomless war chest and MAGA billionaire megadonors on our side. We’re relying on grassroots supporters to help bridge our fundraising gap and prevent our candidates from getting outspent before Election Day. We’ve invested in candidate recruitment, digital ads, and voter contact in ultra-competitive states like Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania – but all those efforts come with a considerable price tag, and it’ll take much more to win this fall. That’s why I’m asking one last time: [With the RNC behind us, will you make a contribution to our people-powered campaign? Your donation will immediately go towards our work to build Democratic power and protect our majorities nationwide.]( Together, we can turn the tide.
