While momentum has slowed, Trump’s campaign raised over $141 million in May, including $52 mill

While momentum has slowed, Trump’s campaign raised over $141 million in May, including $52 million after his guilty verdict. They raised more than two times our entire cycle budget in a single month.  #  Have you heard the term “summer slump”? It’s the period during the summer months when Election Day isn’t at the top of voters’ minds, and fundraising drops significantly. We can’t let the summer slump set us back – especially after Trump’s Super PAC announced plans to spend $100 million. [Rush $7 to minimize this year’s summer slump – our party must be able to compete with GOP money flooding into the states.]( While our momentum has slowed, MAGA Republicans have taken the lead. Trump’s campaign raised over $141 million in May, including $52 million after his guilty verdict. They raised more than two times our entire cycle budget in a single month. Even worse, we fell short of our fundraising goals in April and May, so we need to pick up the pace or come fall, there won’t be enough resources to block the GOP from gaining power in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. If the GOP continues to outraise us, they might outrun us this November – and with fundamental freedoms and our very democracy on the line, that’s a risk we just can’t afford to take. [We aren’t asking for $141 million. But if enough Democrats donate $25 or even $7, it’d give our candidates a fighting chance against the MAGA millionaires and Super PACs funding Trump’s state-level allies.
