Today is a bit different for me, I'm going to a wedding! And it's for my friend Jordan, who you might remember from [this YouTube video]( about how I got him 1M views organically on TikTok in one week. He is getting married in Scotland today to his amazing fiance and I'm stoked! Now if you don't remember Jordan... here's the info of what went down... This is how I got my friend Jordan 1M views in just one week on TikTok, completely organically. Loads of "music gurus" tell you how to do something, but very few put it in practice. I mainly work with labels, but I often help out friends and DK Music Academy members with their releases. Jordan Harvey is a friend who I wanted to help on his upcoming release with his short form content to build traction for the release. Jordan, Ella (my wife) and myself went out with a camera and shot simple visual content ideas using him performing to the chorus of his song. We then edited them and colour graded to make sure colours were popping and content was filmed to a high standard (I'll include a link below for you). The first video Jordan put out of the series got 16.5K in the first day, not bad! Then the second video that went out (the pinned one top left), achieved a massive 400.5K in 24 hours!! Let me reiterate... 400.5K views completely organically in the space of 24 hours. After one week, this is how the numbers look: The next few posts that followed also got great traction and the posts that originally didn't have many views, suddenly started bringing in more views and engagement. At the start of the week Jordan had around 1000 followers, this has nearly been 10X'd to 10K at the end of one week. NOW... Here's the bit that you want to know, how can you do this too? What's great about this strategy is it's wrapped around YOUR MUSIC. No silly dance trends, just performances to your music. This is what you need to do: 1. Go out with a friend who is decent at video. You can do this with a DSLR or an iPhone, but if you use an iPhone use cinematic mode. The higher quality you can get, the more it will stand out. Think about the background - the pink sky in the 600K views video stands out. Take one or two sections of your song that's no longer than 20 seconds. 2. Edit the footage on your computer, take some time to make it as good as it can be. This step makes all the difference! In Premiere, use Warp Stabalizer to smooth out your filming and then colour grade it (I can teach you how to do this). 3. Post consistently once a day! One two hour shooting session got us around 20 useable pieces of footage. That's practically a month's worth all sorted! Make sure you use text to introduce yourself and keep the story going throughout the clip. 4. The technicality comes in with the SEO... We do this in my social media agency, where essentially every piece of content we're trying to push to exactly the right place and play the algorithm. You may have seen this week that I'm running a 50% off voucher for my Academy, where we can do exactly this together this year. Use the code NEWYEAR to pick up 50% off. [Join The Academy, Get More Streams And Fans In 2024]( See you inside! Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
