This means that our popular Race Day and Behind the Scenes Tours are also back and now available to book. These tours are ideal whether you are a regular race goer or new to the sport. The tours provide you with a chance to go behind the scenes to areas of the course not usually available to the public. You will also have the opportunity to find out how to make the most of your day including how to spot a winner - well, in theory! [Click Here]( Newmarket's Racing Royalty Tour Join us for an enlightening and fascinated guided tour on foot and bus as we unfold the stories of some of our most noted Royals whose strong connections have helped shape Newmarket’s long and illustrious history. Hear about the secrets and scandals of the rich and famous, both human and equine, as you visit many of the town’s iconic buildings. Finish your tour with a cream tea at the National Horseracing Museum, located on the site of Charles II Palace. This two hour tour runs on set dates throughout the year and is priced at £25 per person (including a cream tea). As with many of our tours, a private experience can be arranged on a date of your choice (subject to availability and a minimum of four people). A private option is just an additional one-off payment of £35, plus the standard ticket price. In a town internationally renowned for horseracing, Newmarket’s Town Council brings you an alternative form of racing in the form of the Soapbox Derby on 29th August.
