The primacy effect is a psychology theory that states that humans have a tendency to remember the first piece of information they encounter. Hint: because people in North America read from left to right and top to bottom, the top left was the main focus. Utilizing the top left placement to display important information increases the likelihood the viewer will retain the most important details.
