Here's a recent example of how having poorly set up tracking can result in devastating consequences.

Here's a recent example of how having poorly set up tracking can result in devastating consequences. I was looking over a number of campaigns running in Google Ads and couldn't understand why some where showing many purchase conversions, which I could not find in our 3rd party tracker (Voluum) or in our CRM. Why was Google Ads reporting all these purchases and scaling the ad spend on those campaigns (these was set up as Target CPA campaigns)? Google's machine algorithm was increasing ad spend each day because these questionable purchases were coming in well below the Target CPA, so Google Ads was thinking that it was doing an amazing optimization job and showing my ads more and more. Well guess what? Those purchases didn't exist. It appears someone on my team went into the conversion setting for incoming calls and set it to record a purchase conversion if a caller was on the phone with us longer than three minutes (this is an advanced tracking feature within Google Ads). Three minutes is an awfully short amount of time and I readjusted it back to eight minutes, which is more reasonable. Yet this is a prime example of what happens when you don't have tracking set up properly. This blunder ended up costing me thousands of dollars in wasted ad spend. Tracking is vital to your online success and that's why you need to watch the replay of the workshop I did with Nik Thakorlal last week. Nik goes deep into the art of tracking and optimization and after watching the workshop replay, I guarantee you will never buy traffic again until you're sure your tracking is 100% robust. It's literally the difference between a highly profitable campaign or a money losing one. [Watch The Replay Here]( Talk soon, [Turn On Images] Gauher Chaudhry P.S. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
