In my last email, I wrote about the importance of lead generation. When most marketers think of lead generation, the first thing that comes to mind is email list building. Makes sense right? But there are so many other ways to generate leads that most people don't understand or know how to. For example, leads can be generated in forms like: - Push Notification List - Offline Addresses - SMS Phone Numbers - Facebook Groups - etc. Yes, ultimately getting the lead onto your email list is the main objective. But if you can have your prospects on different channels, that's where the power of omnichannel marketing comes into play. Once you generate that lead, it's your job to cultivate and nurture that lead until they become a buyer. One of the things we've started to do here with lead generation (in various markets) is not only put them onto our own in-house email lists, but also immediately try to sell the leads in open auctions. We use LeadsHook to create surveys, quizzes and questionaires that gather information and answers from interested prospects. Then, in real-time, we try to sell the lead (i.e. solar, insurance, financial) into open auction of buyers who are looking for these leads (with the prospect's permission of course). That way not only do we have the ability to earn income selling the leads, but also monetizing them with related email promotions. Data is the new oil. Leads that have multiple data points (i.e. email, phone, address, etc.) are extremely valuable and some compnaies will pay as much as $250 for these leads in certain markets. If you're interested in learning about how you can become a mean, lean "lead generating" machine, I highly recommend you attend the free virtual [Lead Generation Summit](.
