I wasn't troubled, just motivated... ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hey, it's Gauher... I'm still in reboot mode and have been focusing on getting stalled projects moving forward again these past few weeks. In my last email, I wrote about feeling overwhelmed and how that can derail your journey to success. Overwhelm in my opinion happens from a lack of discipline. You see, we're human and we want instant gratification. That's why courses that promise riches within hours or days (with very little work) sell so well even though they almost never deliver on that promise. I've struggled with wanting instant gratification ever since I was a teenager in the 90's. I still remember wanting to get rich so quick that I would fall for any gimmick out there that promised instant riches. I took it as far as joining up with a multi-level marketing program (MLM) that touted the "Power Pen" as the product to build an MLM downline. A classic pyramid scheme, but still legal because it had a product (no matter how crappy this pen was... and it was). Anyhow, I put a bulletin board system (remember, this is the early 90's) and when people would dial in, the first thing they would see is a message promoting the "Power Pen." I was basically trying to recruit people under me. Well, that experiment lasted for about just 36 hours when I got a phone call from Sargent Dickie from the Halton police fraud unit asking me to come down to the station. [Turn On Images] I was about 17 at the time, so you can imagine me freaking out. I ended up asking one of my buddies to drive me down to the station and to this day, my Dad doesn't know about this story. When I got down to the station, Sargent Dickie told me someone had called to report fraudulent activity and he just wanted to talk to me. When I explained to him about the "Power Pen", he sat there with amusement as he could see how naive I was to believe I was going to be rich in a few months. Although he told me that he couldn't see anything illegal or fraudulent about what I was doing (just promoting a crappy MLM program), I still shut down my promotions. Who needed that kind of stress at 17? More than a decade later, when I did make my first million, it came through discipline and patience. I stuck with what was working at the time and was able to reap the rewards by focusing. If something is working for you right now, stay the course and keep that momentum moving. [Turn On Images] Talk soon, [Turn On Images] Gauher Chaudhry P.S. In my next email, I'll tell you about the call I got from the Halton Bomb squad when I was in my late teens. Don't worry, I wasn't as bad a kid as these emails make me out to be. ;) LET'S CONNECT! The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
