You can now pin posts on your Instagram profile: Instagram has officially launched its new option to pin posts on your profile, providing another option to control your IG profile display. What's interesting is that this will enable you to pin both posts and Reels, which will provide a range of creative considerations as to how you can maximize the appeal of your Instagram profile display for visitors who come across your presence. 4. Twitter rolls out ‘Audio’ translations for charts for the visually impaired: The new process will enable visually impaired people to ‘listen’ to charts by translating the data into pitched sounds, in accompaniment to a written description of the chart. Twitter’strying to add more accessibility options including upgrades to its alt-text description display, auto-captions on video clips and a new ‘CC’ button on videos where captions are available. 5. LinkedIn launches product listings on profiles; adds new engagement options: LinkedIn’s adding a new product showcase element on user profiles, enabling users to highlight specific products and projects that they’ve worked on in different roles, while it’s also updating its Newsletter functionality with some additional connection features. 6. Twitter kickstarts the initial test of the ‘Product Drops’ launch reminder feature: Merchants will be able to add a "Remind Me" button to their tweets about upcoming launches, which will provide more information and an easy way to stay updated on the release. It could be a good way to drive purchase activity in the app with the real-time nature of Twitter adding to FOMO, leading to more impulse purchases as a result. 7. LinkedIn adds Audio Events option to Creator Mode; expands audience growth opportunities: The ability to facilitate professional connection within industry-aligned meetings and discussions, and moving in line with WFH, audio sessions within LinkedIn could prove valuable - and if your favourite creators start streaming regularly, it might be worth tuning in to get the latest news and updates in your field. Either way, it’ll be another tool to consider for those looking to build their LinkedIn presence. 8. Instagram expands its Sensitive Content Control options for a better in-app experience: It will reduce exposure to potentially harmful content in the app, which is a major concern for parents, especially given how much time their children are spending online. Parental controls also provide additional assurance on this front, and Instagram also added new parental control options in December last year. Did we miss out on any significant updates?
