Hi {NAME},  The past week or two haven't been particularly nice for the digital world.  Facebo

Hi {NAME},  The past week or two haven't been particularly nice for the digital world.  Facebook has been rocked by one of the biggest scandal since its inception, with Whatsapp Co Founder Brian Acton even asking users to [#deletefacebook](.uiIGqTcdUNbQPR63O86ssNF-7AwCvLPCSysfilLK9sY), and Elon Musk ending up [deleting official pages of Tesla and SpaceX](.LjLhPCwra58PDkJNAbVMTh0ibZEXzRFdH3qjtlFqFEo).  So what has happened? In very very simple terms - You join Facebook. You share information. People develop apps on Facebook. You use apps. Apps get access to your data. Slowly they get enough data to 'misuse' it / sell it to Political Parties among other organizations. To get in depth coverage, read all about [The Cambridge Analytica - Facebook Fallout](.U0OT2Y4FG5DuSoisI4wcc-98zviGUVxmBZaPS5iwqrw)  Is Facebook at fault? Yes and No. Yes because they should be more careful with their privacy policies. No because users should be more careful about their own privacy and not use random applications.  Can you protect yourself? Partly yes. Read [How to delete Unwanted Facebook Apps](.SgRNcGbPNmjTIHccDwS35IYnmh23fHiyE_nMLcnOX4M)  What does Facebook know about you? A lot. Here's [How you can download all your Facebook data](.OR278I71nLgMcTGpoq-c8PMoslcVUq7BUbUcrZxLyss).  Can all this mean any trouble for Google and Facebook models in the future. Probably yes. Read more [here](.md_EHO4CMfQiqvnOcULD7XIq78RUsFoU1SQEmexv_I0).  That's that. Just felt like sharing considering all that has been happening.  Wish you safe and secure times on social media and the internet.  Cheers, Deffy [Digital Defynd](.vkvibVwPNNcl2fbNkjEKkxmpU-Mlvsxrzp2lMAD4BYw) --------------------------------------------------------------- Digital Defynd This email was sent to {EMAIL} | [Unsubscribe](.xo43SpRyKWlb8ksHKz_GmnQu4rZLcQckYForrQoA56g) | [Forward this email to a friend](.zmlL1lPwHGMcV0MQp0KgY64_Y4KLJF1CrqIjIpUSL6U)
