American Diabetes Association If you need help, we?re here for you. We are all in this together. I

American Diabetes Association [Connected For Life]( [+ Covid Response] If you need help, we’re here for you. We are all in this together. In times like these, there are no sides. There are no special interests. We are all worried for the people we love. That’s why all of us at the American Diabetes Association® are working harder than ever—and continuing to take a critical role in fighting for our community. Whether we’re providing guidance and resources or working with lawmakers, we’re here for you. As you fight to stay healthy and safe, we’re fighting on your behalf in powerful ways, including: - Advocating for a zero-dollar co-pay for insulin during this emergency—and pushing state and federal efforts to ensure insulin is affordable and accessible. - Working with state and local lawmakers to make it easier for people living with diabetes to receive care within social distancing restrictions. - Protecting people with diabetes who have lost their jobs by supporting legislation that guarantees uninterrupted health insurance coverage. - Helping to waive the in-person requirement for continuous glucose monitor (CGM) coverage throughout this crisis. We’re here for you. And we’re doing everything we can to stay ahead of the impact coronavirus has on our community. For the latest information and resources, please visit our [COVID-19 hub](. We’ll be updating this site frequently as events continue to unfold. And if you’re struggling to pay for your insulin, [we’re here to help](. Reach out to our 1-800-DIABETES (800-342-2383) information line to learn about programs from manufacturers that may be able to help you get the medications you need. COVID-19 has impacted our organization deeply as well. Our fundraising is down over 50%. Many of our physical events, camps and programs have been postponed or cancelled completely. And we’ve had to make painful decisions to cut costs that have had an impact on our people—with hiring freezes, salary cuts and more. [If you are in a position to make a charitable gift, please do](. Any contribution you make would help our efforts for our employees, the people living with diabetes and their families. And it would allow us to carry on our mission to help them. Now more than ever, we are Connected for Life. [Visit the COVID-19 Hub for Information and Resources]( [Tracey D. Brown.jpg] [Tracey Brown Signature.png] Tracey D. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
