You don't want to miss this event! [Democracy for America Advocacy Fund](#) {NAME}, None of us are happy with the current state of our democracy. We have been in a long, enduring fight to save democracy and elect people who genuinely represent the entire country. We want elected officials who share in our efforts to tackle climate change, rising health care costs, an unfair criminal justice system, exorbitant student debt, unjust immigration policies, among much much more. The touchstone of democracy is one person, one vote; every vote counts. But that’s not how our system currently works. Every voter wants their vote to count. Yet in our current electoral system, voters are forced to do “election calculus” -- i.e., vote for the person they are told is the most electable, often at the expense of the candidate who most closely aligns with their values and policy positions. This has led to voter apathy and disengagement, low voter turnout and high voter frustration. Ranked Choice Voting is the antidote to voter disengagement because it eliminates the need for that voter calculus. That’s one of the reasons it’s the fastest growing electoral reform in the country. [Ranked Choice Voting could make a difference in your community too. Join us for a virtual town hall -- featuring Maya Wiley, President of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and moderated by strategist and media contributor Yvette Simpson -- this Thursday, June 29th at 3pm ET/Noon PT by registering now.](  A Democracy for America Advocacy Fund and Fair Vote Event: Voter Choice = Voter Voice National Ranked Choice Voting Town Hall Featuring Maya Wiley & Yvette Simpson Thursday, June 29th 3:00pm ET / Noon PT [RSVP NOW]( Ranked choice voting has already been successfully implemented in many places and there continues to be many municipalities, states and state legislatures considering instituting ranked choice voting through legislation, local referenda and ballot initiatives. You can be a part of making this happen. Make your voice heard and help us spread the word that RCV is a more inclusive and expansive alternative to our current “winner take all” electoral system. It can help re-engage voters and combat voter frustration and apathy, and encourage more inclusive candidates to run for office. It can also counteract some of the voter suppression and anti-democracy efforts, including gerrymandering, and encourage more voter engagement and education because every voter truly counts. [Don’t miss this event. Please RSVP now.]( See you on Thursday! - Amanda Amanda Ford, Director Democracy for America Advocacy Fund [Power This Campaign]( Democracy for America Advocacy Fund is a 501c4 organization.
