Stand against bigotry in politics

Other Republican lawmakers have referred to VP Harris as a "DEI hire" implying her selection was based solely on diversity considerations rather than her qualifications and experience. These statements are unacceptable. They perpetuate harmful stereotypes and attempt to delegitimize the achievements of our nation's first woman, first Black person, and first person of South Asian descent to serve as Vice President.
