$7.25 is a poverty wage. Tell your state to raise the minimum to $20 by 2030. [Democracy for America Advocacy Fund](#) {NAME} The federal minimum wage has been frozen at $7.25 since 2009, while the cost of living has surged relentlessly upward. Today, a full-time minimum wage worker earns just $15,080 annually -- far below the poverty line for a family of two. This is nothing short of a national disgrace. It’s clear that we can't afford to wait for Congress to act. Our states must take the lead in ensuring workers can afford basic necessities. A $20 minimum wage by 2030 is essential for the economic health of our communities and the dignity of our workers. It's a vital step in addressing the staggering wage gap between CEOs and workers, which has grown by over 1,000% since the late 1970s. At $20 per hour, a full-time worker would earn $41,600 annually, lifting millions out of poverty. This is would help families afford rent, put food on the table, and access healthcare without fear of financial ruin. [We can't wait any longer. Tell your state legislators to introduce and support legislation raising the minimum wage to $20 by 2030 now.]( [SIGN AND SEND]( If the minimum wage had kept pace with worker productivity since 1968, it would be over $23 today. Our proposal for $20 by 2030 is not only reasonable, it's long overdue. Several states are already moving in the right direction. California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington have all passed laws to gradually raise their minimum wages to $15. But we need every state to commit to at least $20 by 2030 to ensure no full-time worker lives in poverty. Every day we delay means another day of struggle for millions of hardworking Americans. It means families torn apart by financial stress, dreams deferred due to unlivable wages, and communities unable to thrive. [Stand with workers across the nation and demand a wage that reflects the true value of their labor. Tell your state legislators: No more waiting. Fight for a $20 minimum wage by 2030 now.]( Let’s keep fighting for fair wages. - DFA AF Team [Power This Campaign]( Democracy for America Advocacy Fund is a 501c4 organization.
