Trump claims to "know nothing" about Project 2025. Here's why that's a dangerous lie – and how we fight back. [Democracy for America Advocacy Fund](#) {NAME}, Word is getting out about Trump’s Project 2025. It’s the blueprint for Trump’s autocracy in a second term -- and the MAGA Republican party fears Americans finding out just how extreme and far reaching this plan actually is. It’s no exaggeration to say, if even 90% of this 900-page plan is implemented, it will radically transform America into an authoritarian state. The party that brought us Charlottesville and January 6, now calls for jackboots to put down legitimate protest and military tribunals for “enemies of the state,” including journalists and political opponents. Eviscerating essential human and civil rights, the plan calls for military raids in American cities to separate immigrants from their families and sending “Dreamer” children to nations they have never themselves known. Now that word is getting out, Trump wants to distance himself from Project 2025, claiming to “know nothing” about it. But (spoiler alert:) this is another in his long line of lies. Trump’s past, current, and possible future aides and appointees wrote it, and his PAC promotes it. His national campaign press secretary even appears in the recruitment video! Among the hundreds of highly detailed plans for autocracy in the document are these: - Military raids and encampments to deport up to 5 million immigrants - A nationwide abortion ban and rollback of LGBTQ+ rights - Purging 50,000 civil servants, replacing them with Trump loyalists - Ending Head Start and diverting public school funding to private schools - Gutting racial equity programs and climate initiatives - Withdrawing from NATO, leaving European allies vulnerable to invasion Project 2025 was meant as a working document to fire up, recruit, and guide the far right, but they never intended most Americans to know the true extent of their plans. Now the plans are out, and every American needs to know them. [Pledge to expose Trump's Project 2025 and sound the alarm about this existential threat to the rights and freedoms we value in our democracy.]( [SIGN ON]( Project 2025 seeks to divide us by the very things that make us unique: our diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, our religious faiths, our gender identities and those of the people we love. They want to quash dissent and remake the country according to their own narrow view of white Christian Nationalism. If we say nothing and let Trump hide his true intentions behind Jesus and the flag, voters who have less information will decide based on Trump’s MAGA demagoguery and its appeal to the most base emotions. By pledging to expose Project 2025, you will bring the right wing’s darkest visions into the light for the American people to decide what type of country we want. Do we want a country that shows decency and caring for those truly in need, or one that seeks to crush differences and force compliance with a particular extremist ideology of who we are and what we should be. When you help keep a relentless focus on what Trump and his MAGA party actually plan to do when and if he regains power, you connect with fellow Americans. Every conversation, every social media post, every vote you inspire – makes a difference. And there has never been a more important time to make that difference than now. [Pledge to expose Trump's Project 2025 today. Make it known. Let's create an active movement of informed citizens committed to protect our democracy.]( Thank you for helping to ensure that all Americans understand the true stakes of this election. - Amanda Amanda Ford, Director Democracy for America Advocacy Fund [Power This Campaign]( Democracy for America Advocacy Fund is a 501c4 organization.
