Even as they threaten Social Security and Medicare, Republicans seek to add trillions to the national debt with their tax cuts for the rich. Don’t let them! [Democracy for America Advocacy Fund](#) {NAME}, Republicans tell us they are worried about the national debt, even though their tax cuts that benefit mainly billionaires and mega-millionaires have added trillions to it already. Yet still they propose more! As much as our leaders like to kick the can down the road, we all know these trillions will have to come from somewhere. And this is why the Republicans obsessively come back to trying to raid, and ultimately wreck, the nation’s most popular programs: Social Security and Medicare. We can’t let rich politicians continue to hand out trillions of dollars to their ultra-rich donors, and take the cash out of programs that workers have paid into over many decades of hard work so they will have some financial means and health care in retirement. The GOP is addicted to attacking the most popular and essential of protections for American families. They should stop proposing cuts that will benefit only the wealthiest in society! Congress should require the rich and corporations to pay their fair share so we can strengthen, not cut, Social Security and Medicare. We must simply stop extending even bigger handouts to the very-well-to-do who already dominate our economy.  [Tell Congress: Supporting Medicare and Social Security, extremely popular programs that support Americans’ health and income. No tax cuts that favor the wealthy!]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( If Donald Trump succeeds in re-taking the White House, despite his ignominious failure to relinquish it when he lost the last time, one of his first items of business will be to renew and extend the 2017 GOP tax scam. This legislation is set to expire in 2025, and if Joe Biden is president that is exactly what will happen. But if Trump is in charge, we will see an extension of a tax code that radically favors the wealthiest Americans and corporations. While advancing policies that indulge the fantasies of the ultra-rich while harming those with lower and middle incomes, Trump proposes to destabilize the entire world economy by imposing a 10% tariff on all imports, leading to absurd cost increases in our own economy. Trump is proposing to create an unsustainable burden for future generations, who will not be able to rob a destitute Peter to pay mega-millionaire Paul. [We cannot let the GOP put our future at risk.
