It is un-American for the ruling party to use police power to arrest its political rivals. Full stop. The Manhattan DA explicitly campaigned on investigating former President Trump. This is a textbook case of politicizing prosecutorial power. The argument that Trump shouldn't be "above the law" is a straw man: the only reason the DA is even considering this case is because it's Donald Trump. I pray for our country that the DA does the right thing here and drops politically motivated, but it's going to take leaders to step up and demand action against this abuse of power.
