It’s clearer than ever that the American people want a government that will defend our fundamental rights. [Democrats][DNC Congressional Split Series] In just a few days, it will be 2024, so I have to ask [if you’ll consider splitting a 10 contribution between my reelection campaign and the DNC,]( but first, let me explain why: Keeping a Democratic majority is absolutely critical in the fight to protect our progress and prevent Republican extremists from enacting an agenda that simply doesn’t align with the values of the American people. It’s clearer than ever that the American people want a government that will defend our fundamental rights. We know that from polling. And we know it from the results of recent elections in states like Virginia, where Democrats showed up to ensure big wins in our state Senate and House of Delegates races, paving the way for progress on everything from voting rights and reproductive freedom to funding for education. I saw firsthand this year how helpful the DNC was in our successful effort to win control of both houses of the Virginia General Assembly. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Republican Party have made it clear that if they gain power in 2024, they will do the exact opposite: restrict the right to vote, ban abortion nationwide, and attempt to undo our hard-won progress. We can’t risk a Republican takeover in 2024 -- which is why it’s so important we compete everywhere, and do everything we can to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. [If you’re with us for the fights ahead, will you split a contribution between my reelection campaign and the DNC right now?]( [DONATE: $10]( [DONATE: $25]( [DONATE: $50]( [DONATE: $100]( [DONATE: $250]( [Donate another amount]( I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together, and I’m a firm believer that we can -- and must -- keep building on it. We can protect the right to an abortion, we can take meaningful action to reduce gun violence, we can keep growing our economy, and we can continue our work to tackle the climate crisis. But we must hold onto our Democratic Senate majority in order to do so. That’s why your support right now is so important, and it’s why I’m so grateful you’re in this fight, too. Thanks in advance for pitching in to help. Tim Tim Kaine U.S. Senator, Virginia Former DNC Chair [SPLIT A DONATION]( The DNC's Congressional Split Series helps fundraise for and raise awareness around down-ballot Democrats in some of the most important races across the country. When you make a split donation to the DNC, your donation will not only benefit folks on the ballot this cycle -- it will also help create the lasting Democratic infrastructure Democrats need to win up and down the ballot in years to come.
