Here at the DNC, we’re meeting folks where they are: online through social media. I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of our great work this cycle. I hope you’ll continue reading. [Democrats][Join us.] I’m Shelby, and I oversee our team of brilliant strategists and content creatives who strive to meet people where they are: online through social media. I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of our great work this cycle. I hope you’ll continue reading, [and then donate $7 to help our party keep it up in 2023:]( A 2022 Pew Research poll found that half of American adults get at least some of their news from social media, with Facebook and YouTube outpacing other platforms. This shows the massive opportunity Democrats have to directly reach people where they’re spending their time. It’s no secret that our social media accounts have large followings -- on any given day, we can reach an audience of tens of millions of people online with our messages. To put that into perspective, we have one of the world’s biggest megaphones for Democratic messaging, and our success in 2022 is in part because of this grassroots team. This work is critical to amplifying Democrats online, and it requires a huge operation with a lot of resources. I know the holidays are right around the corner, but if you can swing it, will you chip in $7 to power our party? [DONATE: $7]( [DONATE: $10]( [DONATE: $25]( [DONATE: $50]( [DONATE: $100]( [Donate another amount]( In order to feed the internet’s insatiable appetite for content ahead of the midterms, we knew we had to be ready to transform our digital content team into a publishing operation. This cycle, our portfolio included platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter -- and notably, TikTok. The DNC launched a TikTok account this year, becoming the first major U.S. political party to do so. Our team reached young people like never before -- and it paid off. This past November, young voters broke decisively for Democrats, and we elected the first member of Gen-Z to Congress. This massive reach wouldn’t exist without the donations we’ve received -- and received early. This work requires the backing of grassroots supporters like you. [Our team works hard to break through the noise online, and we couldn’t do it without the support of this grassroots team. If you can, chip in $7 today to continue powering our work.]( Thank you, and I’ll see you online, Shelby Shelby Cole Deputy Chief Mobilization Officer, Digital Content and Creative Democratic National Committee Manage how often you receive DNC emails, [by filling out this form](.
