This is happening at the wrong time

We’ll start with the good: During the Democratic National Convention last week, we saw a surge in individual donations. It was truly incredible. That’s money that we’re putting to work immediately reaching as many voters as possible before early voting begins. But here’s the bad news: In recent days, we’ve seen a significant slowdown in donations. The timing couldn’t be worse. Especially because our most important FEC deadline yet is coming up in a matter of days, and in some states, early voting kicks off right after that. So we have two choices to catch up. We’ll either need a lot more individual donations, or we’ll need Democrats who understand the importance of this moment to give a little bit more when they chip in. Normally we ask people making their first donation of the cycle to give $3 or $7. But today, we are asking you to pitch in a little bit more at this critical time -- $15 if you can.
