It’s clear: the stakes of this election could not be higher. [I'm On Board Volunteer Newsletter]( [Hello there, Today commemorates two very different anniversaries. The first is the Supreme Court’s decision of Loving v. Virginia that protected the right to interracial marriage;, and the second is the anniversary of Pulse nightclub shooting, the deadliest attack affecting the LGBTQ+ community in American history. Like today, we sit in the middle of two crossroads that changed the course of this country. We are reminded of the progress between how far we have come and yet how far we still have to go. Whether we are protecting the freedom to love or banning assault weapons —-- the small decisions we make now amount to crucial outcomes for people across the country. As the presidential debate nears this June 27, we’re confronted with the very real threat of another Trump presidency. There are many small decisions ahead of us that could be the difference between how we felt in 2016, waking up to a Trump presidency, or 2020, as we fought to save the soul of the nation by electing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. On June 26, you can make one such small decision and join the monthly supporter briefing as we deep dive into how folks can take action on debate night and afterwards. The more informed we are, the better we are able to share what we have learned with our communities and those close to us. It won’t be one conversation or one event - but between now and Election Day in November we will each be confronted with a series of decisions and conversations that could impact the outcomes of the 2024 presidential election and what could be the course of our country. I hope to see you there.
