[I'M ON BOARD: VOLUNTEER NEWSLETTER.]( [Hello, My name is Philisea, and I work as the Supporter Outreach Director at the DNC. My primary responsibility is to connect with supporters like YOU from all over the country to ensure that the entire Democratic Party hears your voices. So if you want to know about policy, need help donating, or just want to update us on what is happening in your states, you can reach out to us by replying back to this email. I plan to use your feedback to improve our response time in answering your questions, keep you updated on the latest events and trainings, and build our relationship going into November and beyond. For example: This week is Black Maternal Health Week, which we recognize once a year from April 11-17th. During the week, we aim to raise awareness about the life-threatening complications of pregnancy in Black women. This week is personal to me as my mother, raised in rural South Carolina, faced many complications throughout her pregnancy with me many years ago. Now as a young woman, I am aware of the potential ramifications of the reversal of Roe v. Wade, and the impact it will have on my life and many like me. However, I am grateful that President Biden and Vice President Harris are actively working towards promoting more equitable health care outcomes for women, particularly for Black women and mothers. That’s why we’re inviting you to join our organizing tool, Reach, to share the facts about how the fall of Roe v Wade has impacted the Black Maternal Health crisis: [JOIN THE REACH APP]. Thanks for stepping up and please don’t forget to reach out to me if you have a question! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
