We’re just hours away from our very first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of this pivotal election year. [Democrats][Join us.] Hi there, it's Sam Cornale, Executive Director of the DNC. We’re just hours away from our very first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of this pivotal election year. I wanted to reach out to you personally about how important it is that we reach our quarterly fundraising goal, and [in a minute I’m going to ask if you can donate to the DNC before midnight to help.]( But first, let’s catch up a little: We are still winning everything. Over the last few months, we’ve continued to see that Democrats are winning on an agenda to protect basic freedoms against the GOP’s anti-choice playbook. In Alabama, Democrat Marilyn Lands flipped Alabama’s HD-10 by a massive double-digit margin -- an incredible overperformance in a district that voted for Donald Trump in 2020. This race was the first major special election in the state since the Alabama Supreme Court’s recent decision blocking access to IVF -- and a flashing red warning sign for MAGA Republicans of just how unpopular their agenda truly is. In New York, Democrat Tom Suozzi flipped NY-03 after his Republican opponent failed to answer why she stood behind the MAGA agenda that wants to ban abortion. In Florida, Democrat Tom Keen flipped a Republican-held state House seat -- with the overwhelming support of independent voters -- by running on protecting reproductive rights. And of course, in the November 2023 elections in Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky, voters turned out in force in support of Democratic candidates and ballot initiatives focused on protecting fundamental freedoms in their states. Here’s the bottom line: While MAGA Republicans across the country are running on enacting cruel, out-of-touch abortion bans, Democrats are running on protecting reproductive freedoms -- and winning, in red, purple, and blue states alike. And these wins were fueled by the grassroots support of people like you. [But we have to keep the momentum going as we look to November, and that starts with finishing the first quarter of the year on the strongest possible note. Can you pitch in for the first time in this election cycle to support our work to elect Democrats nationwide?]( [DONATE: $7]( [DONATE: $10]( [DONATE: $25]( [DONATE: $50]( [DONATE: $100]( [Donate another amount]( Your support makes a real difference. Our work here at the DNC is fueled by donations from this grassroots team, and we can’t do this without you. I’m so grateful to have you in this fight with us, and thankful for all that you’re doing.
