Milligan before the U.S. Supreme Court, which directly led to more representative maps in Alabama and in Louisiana — states thought to be outside the reach of equal representation. As a result, even more states will have representative congressional and state legislative maps going into the 2024 election than going into the 2022 midterms. But our work is far from over. Now that we’re in an era of perpetual redistricting, we’re also perpetually counting on grassroots supporters to prevent map manipulation and help ensure free and fair elections.
