The DGA just announced our Women Governors Fund to help elect women across the country. Donate now to elect Democratic women and help us meet our $25,000 launch goal [DONATE $1 NOW]( Hi, {NAME}, I’m Kate Brown, the governor of Oregon, and I have a BIG announcement to share. The DGA is officially launching the Women Governors Fund, an initiative that will support women running for their state’s highest office. Right now, in 2021, I don’t believe that there is a more important way to strengthen our democracy than to help elect Democratic women across the country. I won my first election by just SEVEN votes, so when I tell you that early support matters, I mean it. Early grassroots funding can change the course of an election and rewrite the rules of what’s possible. I would know: in 2018 the DGA helped elect Democratic women in tough races that pundits claimed they could not win. But, together we defeated Republicans in top battleground states and tripled the number of Democratic women governors. Now, we have to defend those Democratic wins and build on them. I’m honored to support the amazing women who are leading their states during one of our nation’s most difficult periods. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM), Gretchen Whitmer (MI), Laura Kelly (KS), and Janet Mills (ME) are the future of our party, and national Republicans are already doing everything they can to undermine their leadership, suppress Democratic votes, and beat back the progress they’ve made. We can’t let that happen. {NAME}, we have the candidates, we have laid the groundwork, and we have momentum on our side, but we’ll need a groundswell of support to keep GOP extremists at bay and secure crucial Democratic wins. So {NAME}, we must take advantage of this opportunity to expand our map and elect more women and Democratic governors nationwide. Donate $1 to defeat Republicans and help us reach our $25,000 launch goal before midnight tonight: [( I am so incredibly grateful that you're by our side in this crucial work. Thank you.
