With the Republican National Convention underway this week, all focus is on the GOP and their candidates. Across the country, there are extremist gubernatorial candidates running in critical swing states – with one even taking the stage at the convention. [But before we go any further, will you rush a donation of $3 right now to defend our blue firewall? We set an ambitious $100,000 goal to defeat GOP extremism – and ALL donations up to that goal will be MATCHED between now and Thursday!]( [DONATE $3 (and have it DOUBLED!)]( Get to know three of the GOP's extreme gubernatorial candidates below: Mark Robinson is the current lieutenant governor of North Carolina and one of the most extreme anti-LGBTQ+ politicians in the country. He's called trans people "demonic," compared LGBTQ+ people to pedophiles, and claimed that LGBTQ+ inclusion "will be closely followed by the END of civilization as we know it." He's fiercely anti-abortion and wants to completely ban abortion with no exceptions. Kelly Ayotte is the Republican frontrunner for governor of New Hampshire. She's endorsed Donald Trump for president and her list of supporters is filled with a slew of extremists including a prominent hate group. She has a shameful anti-reproductive rights record, leading the charge for a nationwide abortion ban while in the Senate, and has made a name for herself as a strong opponent of LGBTQ+ rights. Greg Gianforte has been a disaster for Montana as the incumbent governor. He has overseen skyrocketing property tax rates, choosing to prioritize tax cuts for the wealthy over relief for working families. He has repeatedly forced an extreme anti-choice agenda on the state – despite the majority of Montananas rejecting abortion restrictions at the ballot box. And to top it off, his refusal to commit to renewing Montana's Medicare Expansion program puts the future of rural hospitals and affordable access for thousands at risk. These are just a few of the GOP candidates who will be on the ballot in November. There's one thing that these candidates have in common: Every one of them is committed to undermining the progress Democrats have made possible. We're urgently asking you to rush a donation so we can reach our $100,000 goal by the close of the GOP Convention on Thursday. [So please, if you have anything extra to spare, will you make a donation right now? All contributions will be DOUBLED up to our $100,000 goal – and with all of our rights on the line, we can't afford to fall short.]( Please use the links in this email to start a monthly donation through ActBlue: [Donate $3 (and have it DOUBLED!)]( [Donate $6 (and have it DOUBLED!)]( [Donate $12 (and have it DOUBLED!)]( [Or donate other amount]( --------------------------------------------------------------- We’re relying on grassroots supporters to provide us with the urgent resources we need to win nationwide.
