TWO YEARS SINCE THE DOBBS LEAK Update on the fight to protect abortion for {EMAIL}: Two years ago today, the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to the public. Since then, millions of women across the country have lost access to vital reproductive health care services and are living under draconian abortion bans that strip them of their bodily autonomy. But we haven’t given up on the fight to protect and expand reproductive rights for all Americans. That’s why we launched this petition – and we need you to sign it today, team. [ HELP US REACH 15,000 SIGNATURES: ADD YOUR NAME BEFORE MIDNIGHT TO JOIN US IN THE FIGHT TO PROTECT REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS! ]( [ADD MY NAME]( Team, two years since the Dobbs leak, we have good news and bad news for you: THE GOOD NEWS: Democratic governors immediately swung into action when Roe v. Wade was overturned, and have stayed committed to the fight to protect reproductive rights: - Governors including DGA Chair and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer have signed legislation to codify abortion rights into state law. - When abortion providers were threatened with criminal prosecution, Illinois’ Gov. JB Pritzker, Maryland’s Gov. Wes Moore, New Jersey’s Gov. Phil Murphy – and even more Dem govs – signed legislation to shield them from these attacks. - Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed an extreme bill restricting access to abortion rights and pushed lawmakers to repeal a Civil War-era abortion ban, and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers took direct action to oppose Wisconsin’s arcane 1849 law that banned abortions. - And in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, more than 20 Democratic governors formed the Reproductive Freedom Alliance to protect and expand abortion access in their states! [ADD MY NAME]( THE BAD NEWS: Despite Dem govs’ efforts – MAGA extremists still have their sights set on wrecking their progress and banning abortion. - Donald Trump said he’s “proudly the person responsible” for overturning Roe v. Wade, and refuses to oppose a national abortion ban! - Less than two months ago, House Republicans unveiled their budget plan that includes sweeping restrictions on Americans’ reproductive rights – including banning abortion nationwide and ripping away access to IVF. - And anti-abortion extremists are on the ballot this November in some of the most critical battleground states, including North Carolina where gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson labeled abortion “murder” and “genocide.” [ADD MY NAME](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) Team, we need you in this fight, so please, before midnight: [Sign our petition to demand abortion rights be protected!]( [ADD MY NAME]( --------------------------------------------------------------- We’re relying on grassroots supporters to provide us with the urgent resources we need to win nationwide.
