And it’s why since day one as governor, I've worked to expand voting rights, secure our elections, and make it easier for every eligible Pennsylvanian to cast a ballot, not harder. But I can’t do it alone, team, and the stakes are higher than ever. Earlier this month, Donald Trump clinched the GOP presidential nomination, setting him and his divisive agenda up for a rematch against President Biden this November. Trump and his far-right allies are determined to tear down the progress that President Biden has delivered – from investing in infrastructure to increasing health care enrollment and lowering the cost of prescription drugs. Trump’s brand of MAGA extremism is also gaining traction in state-level races across the country. In North Carolina, Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein is in a neck-and-neck race for governor with a Trump-endorsed extremist and conspiracy theorist who wants to make abortion illegal “for any reason.” And he’s not the only one. As we speak, far-right politicians are working day and night to further their dangerous agenda and tear down the real freedom that Democrats like President Biden and myself have fought hard for.
