This fight is far from over, and we need your help. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit

This fight is far from over, and we need your help. [Democratic Attorneys General Association]( The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit made an unprecedented decision that ignores science and the law on abortion medication — but this fight is far from over. Dem AGs are standing up for what’s right and fighting to protect abortion access. [Will you show your support for them by making a donation right now?]( We can’t sugarcoat it, {NAME}: Access to mifepristone, a safe medication abortion pill, is under serious threat. It started when a Trump-appointed judge in Texas known for his anti-abortion views blocked FDA approval of the widely used abortion pill, mifepristone. Then, Washington Dem AG Bob Ferguson led a coalition of Dem AGs across the country and filed a lawsuit to increase access to the same abortion drug. Then last week, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit gave its ruling on the legality of mifepristone. Sadly, the Court did something unprecedented, ruling against scientific expertise and finding that the judiciary has the authority to override the FDA’s scientific judgments on the abortion pill. Thankfully, mifepristone, the safe and widely-used medication abortion, continues to be legal and accessible in 18 states because of the fight Dem AGs put up, but this fight is far from over, and we need your help. Medication abortion should be accessible, full stop, and Dem AGs will continue to fight like hell to protect it, but they can’t do it without your support. [Will you chip in right now to help elect more Democratic AGs who will join the efforts to safeguard abortion rights?]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $15]( [DONATE $25]( Thanks, and more soon.
