The right to vote is at risk in Arizona

What happens this year will dictate what happens in 2024 [Democratic Attorneys General Association]( {NAME} – Arizona’s Republican legislators passed a restrictive voting law that the Justice Department has called a “textbook violation” of federal law. Republicans everywhere are trying to crack down on the right to vote thanks to Donald Trump’s “Big Lie.” This is just the latest in a long line of efforts from the GOP to set themselves up for political victory by suppressing the vote. It didn’t work in 2020 and we won’t let it work in 2022. Arizona was critical to Joe Biden’s victory in 2020 and is poised to be a competitive state for the foreseeable future. If Republican officials make it much harder for people to exercise their right to vote, which is exactly what they are proposing, then we’ll be fighting an uphill battle not just this year, but in elections years down the line.
